In the case of shows, less is more. Unless it's so "less" that you have 3 different sets which each consist of a guy strumming his penis for 20 minutes. In that case, less is so so shitty and overplayed. so gross

Also a contradictiing instance. The Punk Ska Funk show of 2005? (can't remember how long ago) The Main Theater was jam packed all night of all types of people and all ages. All the bands were completely different everyone loved every second Punks became fans of Hasenpheffer and the Bombdiggity and the hipster college kids became admirers of Chucks. I watched Grandparents walk out of there with every piece of merch there was. Also from a capitalistic promoter stand point the majority of the atendees come to see only one of the bands on the bill being their choice band of that genre now get two other genres and you get people only there to see that band times three. Of coarse you're going to do what you want and what best suits you I'm just saying personally I believe it hinders shows to have no contrast. Punk Ska Funk was 2004, Shit, we've been around awhile haha.

In the case of shows, less is more. Unless it's so "less" that you have 3 different sets which each consist of a guy strumming his acoustic guitar for 20 minutes. In that case, less is so so shitty and overplayed. see thats what i'm saying would you rather three different acts that are like half assed dashboard songs or one act like that and two different styles. Its the same to me with three acts of tuned over distorted guitars and blast beats. or three bands that are just too chill

It's really not that hard to get bands to come up from Salt Lake or even Utah Valley. Almost every band down there wants to play up here. All bands on a bill don't have to be locals. Just get some bands that fit together and promote the shiz outta it! BLAP BLAP YO!
In my personal opinion, I would rather go to a show where all the bands are on the same page. They don't have to be the same style, I would just rather them all have the same vibe. It makes shows more attractive to me.

Maybe rap could have its own category too. But then I'd be deprived of ever seeing calvin smooth again. I don't know. I haven't thought this all the way through yet. yeah, rap sucks. haha.
