Guess I haven't followed the scene so much since the castanettes broke up.
What's everyone doing?
I guess Kelin's still in swamp donkey and the recovering alcoholics are still talking about practicing sometime, but other than that I haven't talked to anyone in like, a year.

What happened to the Castanettes, I want to hear a terrible break up story.

You'll have to ask secondhand, or Mr. F. Thomas Jackson himself. It is not my story to tell.

well, there was a mega-death match and Chris won, but F.T. was hanging by a thread and I was able to revive him while the other two perished. The carnage was horrible and the instruments didn't make it out intact. I will never look at Chris the same again.
Thanks for digging up that horrifying memory.

The Castanettes was my hubby's band... the real story is that Canon doesn't want to have to someday tell his children that his band played shows in bars, and the only non-bar shows they could get were at Why Sound. So... that was the end I guess.
They were pretty good, I think. They worked pretty hard at it for a while.

Canon doesn't want to have to someday tell his children that his band played shows in bars I don't see much difference between bars and churches. And there is some value in having your kids think you're a badass, I would imagine. Too bad. The Castanettes were a good band. I'm sure the boys will make more music.
