It's within their power to make you listen...

Flipping someone off is an obscene gesture, obscenity is not protected under the first amendment.

Hey guys i was the one that had the cop put me in the head lock and take me out. I was in the pit before so maybe that was one reason. i didn't see the cop till he had me in the head lock. at first i thought he was just breaking it up so i kind of just let him pull me out, we started up the ramp and i will admit that i was trying to pull away from him just so he would loosen his damn death grip on my arm, and to get my shoe back that was still in the pit. he put me in an arm bar and put me over a Chair and held me there for a little while. I told him that i was done and he told me to shut up and led me out of the auditorium, took me to a corner and told me that i was going to get assault charge put on me. I wasn't trying to go after anyone in particular and wasn't trying to hurt anyone. he let me go and i went and got my shoe back and stayed till it was over. not much damage, he did cut my lip, messed my leg up a little and tore my pants but nothing that i am mad about. just kind of sucked at that moment in time.

If you honestly didn't do anything in particular for the cop to single you out, I think that is really lame... There are good cops and there are bad cops. I think part of the problem is Logan has the highest number of police per capita and they all have nothing to do, so when you have a show in someone's backyard and end before 10:00, 3 of them show up asking "where's the alcohol" because one of them heard bottles (The show promoters parents throwing some bottles away) and asking a girl resting on the grass if she needs medical attention.

The studio time isn't really much to get worked up about...you can't do much with 3 hours, it's basically just a trick to get you to buy more time... three hours is the grand prize? thats fucking lame

They may have a lot of cops per capita, but take a little walk down Main Street and look at how many people are passing through Logan every hour. Quit bitching about the cops. The kid OBVIOUSLY did something to take the kid out. Get real....ALL OF YOU.

I'm not saying that all cops are bad, I agree that if you respect them that it can turn out much better for you. But there are things that can be completely ridiculous. Does anyone remember last year when we were trying to put on the Operation Smile Battle of the Bands? The school required us to hire cops so we called around to get some info on it. In the end the last word was that it would be $300 for 2 cops to be there. Now I find that just a little outrageous for a show where most of the money earned goes to a fucking good charity.

there's some way cool cops out there and i've had some good experience with them.
Most of them become cops for the power though, they get paid shit, most cops have 2 jobs. My mom will tell you that first hand. She works for the justice court. There's some huge dicks out there that admit to starting shit sometimes, they'll pull you over for anything or find any excuse to stop by and then they'll look for something to get you for, but all you need to do is swallow your pride and suck it up and they'll leave you alone. So don't quite jump to your all cops are perfect conclusion. Sometimes they're looking for something to bust you for even if they don't have an initial reason.
