love and rockets the notwist and broken spindles. Love and Rockets are super dirty. The track flamingo on lift is wonderfully lurid. Fuck all else.

Personally I thought stadium arcadium was cool (but i have only heard like 8 songs). I was soooo happy that i could sense some of their old school style in some songs. I think you have to let the songs grow on you a bit before you fall in love with them. Shes only 18 Don't like the Rollin' Stones She took a short cut To be in fully grown She got the mood ring Her little sister rose A smell of Springstein A pair of pantyhose Destructing pages show is leaking from a silouette She said my man you know its time to get your fingers wet You hussle faster when you can't afford a cigarette The last I heared from you you were screamin Lavallette how cool is that???

Stadium Arcadium is so good, it could pass as a lesser band's greatest hits. (Yea so what if i stold that from RS - Its true).
Also, it isn't necessarily a bad thing when a band changes their sound. I think that a band proves that they are truly great by releasing multiple solid albums that are all distinguishable. Who wants to hear (or play) the same old shit album after album?
Beat this for a legendary music career: Breakout - Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991) Frusciante returns - Californication (1999) Most melodic - By the Way (2002) 28 track masterpiece - Stadium Arcadium (2006)
(I purposely left out One Hot Minute and all their GH titles, as well as their earlier work because the above mentioned are their most pertinent).

Stadium Arcadium could be my favorite Peppers release. It is very well rounded and the instrumentation is just, well...great.
Great recommendation.

I've only found 12 good tracks on it. It shouldnt have been a double.
That's just how a I feel, I'm not saying you have to agree with me. Most people I talk to think that it's all shit and think that I'm crazy for liking half of it...

I've noticed that everything that comes out lately, people think is shit. The new Tool...Shit. The new A.F.I....Shit. The new Peppers....Shit. Any new movie...Shit. I think people's expectations for everything are FAR too high. That's just me though.

I like the new Tool. I did like the new peppers, but I went to a party and they left that CD in the player for six hours, playing it over and over again, so now I'm kind of sick of it.

I think people's expectations for everything are FAR too high. That's just me though. Well, shouldn't we have high expectations for bands who have broken such important ground in the music industry? I mean, I'd probably think that Stadium Arcadium was one of the best debut albums ever if it was a debut, but I think they've done better. If they've done better, shouldn't they be able to hit that ground again? I think that it's partially the fault of the bands who overhype the album (U2, Coldplay last year) and just fail to deliver. I felt that's what happened with RHCP - if they say it's going to be the next White Album or whatever, it better be - otherwise I'm gonna be disappointed. I just feel disappointed because it was SO hyped and I don't feel like it lived up to expectations - I've heard the same about the new PJ and Tool, just like I did with U2 and Coldplay. Thank god no one really listens to Tom Delonge and his insane ramblings about Angels and Airwaves being the next Floyd - I don't think anyone can be disappointed with that since anyone with 1/4th of a brain knew it would suck.
