i couldn't make a list. there's too many fucking awesome metal bands to put only five in order from greatest. and there's so many different kinds of metal and i like to listen to most of them. but one question. why has everybody here neglected to even mention tool?

because tool is overrated? do not deny the power of justin chancellor's four string madness. and aenema is one of the best hard/metal albums of all time, i think. i also just think it's amazing that danny carrey used physics and science and other bullshit to set his drum set up in some mathematical shape so that it's the fastest way to play drums. and he discovered some formula with movement through space to apply to the way he actually moves his arms/legs. |
