Allright anyone who plays anything decently and is mildly interested in starting a project for fun post here and what you play...
I want to do something completely different... One of my ideas is a Radiohead meets The Muse kind of thingy, but I'm up for ANYTHING that is different sounding. I want to do a band where vocal dynamics are important, the music has lots of shifts, has some harder/upbeat break downs with catchy lix.
I'm planning on taking real vocal lessons in the summer by a lady who is supposed to be extremely good, so you can count on me improving because I will train myself and practice alot outside of lessons, I WILL eventually become a "professional" vocalist (it's one of my life goals.)
I have a few people in mind, I have 2 drummers to drum with, I have a few connections with some pianists but I want to find someone who is amazing and is a musical genious who can write really well and knows their theory... I want to find a pianist as good as Spence, a basist as good as Emmett, and a guitarist who is good enough to be the only guitarist in the band at rythm/solo and who is just creative and also really good at theory and writing.
If anyone knows any good pianists, guitarists or bassists, let me know and post their info.

Sam, I'd be up for a muse/radiohead project, or a mars volta project, whatever sounds good.

Nice, what about that one guy you were talking about for drums and that one girl for keyboard. I also know another guitarplayer that his like favorite bands are Radiohead, Muse, Mars Volta, Hendrix, etc, etc. And his setup is pretty close to mine, and he had the coolest effect board you've ever seen.

Al Brown just needs to record 10 songs on his drums. These would be 3+ minutes of drums, converted to mp3. Then all of us can add on top of the beats.
We'll mix and match parts until we find the right sound.

I'll definately look into a few of you, but I talked to a really good drummer today and it seems promising. (Word drew!!!)
Still looking for a bassist and a pianist.

The drummer was good, but I found a better one now. The problem with the keyboard chick is that she wasn't too good, she doesn't seem to even know any theory. Like she was improvising cool shit, but who knows how well she could write in concordance with other people.

Do you have a keyboard, because I know someone that has played piano for fifteen years, and he really wanted to start a band with me, but he couldn't afford a keyboard. So if you had access to a keyboard he'd love to play, I went to the Muse concert with him, he love them.
