LOSTI dare anyone to disagree with me. You all may say The Office, 30 Rock, House or even Heroes are better than LOST. You are all wrong, I can guarantee. Any of you who disagree, may say you just don't get LOST. You may say they are just confusing the public with all of their questions. They all say, "What's with the black smoke monster? I just don't get it. That's where I lose my interest." Well, I've got a news flash for ya, keep watching and I'm sure they'll answer your question. It's interesting! GET OVER IT! Right when LOST premiered, everyone thought it was just another reality show. Nope, it's the greatest show on television! PERIOD! If you watch ANY television at all...I mean...AT ALL, you will quickly find that it is ridden with pathetic attempts to come up with something new. If you want examples, just flip on The Mentalist, Saving Grace or Dollhouse. All these shows are pathetic. YES, they are PATHETIC, with a capital P. I'm over CSI type shows. DONE! College and High School students have ruined shows like The Office for all mankind. Their stupid quotes make me angrier than a prized Black Angus Beef on its way to the slaughter. Example of College student lameness: Student elections are running all week and someone's slogan is "Vote Red: That's what she said." How damn ridiculous and arbitrary is that statement? The name of this person has nothing to do with the color red. Think of something new you douche! Things lose their humor when you beat them into a ground. So all that being said. Long live LOST! It is shaping up to be the most epic show in televisions history. So long bitches. Other shows I back... - Arrested Development - No longer airing
- 30 Rock
- 24
- Very rarely, The Office

I miss arrested development. I used to have it all on DVD then some rat bastard borrowed them and "lost" them.
The Office is the only thing I watch.

Um, I think that Lost is lame. It is obnoxiously complicated... Jack drives me crazy and every season I couldn't help but hope the guy would die somehow... not to mention, the entire show has a kind of Goosebumps (books by R.L. Stine), storyline, with each episode getting more bizarre (and lame) than the previous. Honestly, Lost is almost as bad as Grey's Anatomy. Yeah, I am a slugger... Lost is lame... Oh, and Ben, even though you are like my third favorite person in the world, I take great offense to you giving The Office a "very rarely" fifth place.

I kinda agree with ben though... It has become less hit than miss. I actually have started to watch 30ROCK, and I think think Tina Fey is pretty dang funny. But I am also a Lost fiend [ thanks to my GF ] BTW, When is something going to start happening on Lost again? it seems to be... slow? We knew they were going back to the island for like 2 seasons, on that note, I agree with our saxaphonist: Lame.

Oh Marc, you being an intelligent individual and all, I'd think you'd be more into LOST than I am. The beauty of LOST is that every single character ties together. Stuff has been happening on LOST since last season. I guess people just don't see it. LOST made some mistakes in their early season with the month long breaks and less than interesting love triangles. They are finally back on track now. LOST has three different groups of people attached to it. - Those who watch every episode and have seen the seasons a couple of times.
These people understand LOST. They understand how intelligent of a show it actually is. I'm not saying I'm intelligent by any means. I'm saying the creators and producers are intelligent.
- Those who watch half the season and sorta like it but like to say how confusing it is. You are confused because you don't watch all the episodes. It's not really THAT confusing. I mean it has its confusion. LOST wouldn't be LOST without that confusion and question
- Those who MAYBE saw the first episode of LOST 5 years ago, but haven't watched anything more. These are the people who like to hate on LOST because they hate anything that is popular, or getting cred. These are the people who say they aren't "TV Watchers," but you'll see them sitting in front of the computer on Facebook for hours a day. You'll probably see these same people on HULU for hours a day watching episodes of The Office, all gaining weight by the second. BOOM! Keep in mind, all of these people sit in either the Library or in the TSC lab on the USU campus. These people are douche bags. BOOM!
You comparing LOST to Grey's Anatomy has to be the funniest thing I have heard all week. I give The Office no time, because whenever I think of it, I feel like I have been hit what a bag of flounder. Oh, but I love hearing people quote Dwight (the most ridiculous character on there) all day long. It makes me laugh so hard. Think of something new, rather than obsessing over Kevin being a perv, Jim and Pam's ridiculous love story and Dwight's sorry attempt to be funny. Question, why is The Office lame? Because it's going to be on for twenty more seasons repeating the same jokes that used to be funny. I do think Steve Carell is an amazing actor though.

I really really like lost,
And to me it's not lost that really draws me in. I think long story lines attract me, cause it's more like a super long movie than anything else really...
Dexter is like this. Yes the serial killer. Love this show.
And for Comedy I like "Flight of the Conchords" Though this can be argued as not a true story line. But I love it anyway.
But all common in that they are long story lines... Sure the other two arn't as... complicated and "if you miss one episode you really are lost" Sorta deal. But It's one thing that gets me to watch a show. Coffee!

Because it's going to be on for twenty more seasons repeating the same jokes that used to be funny. I do think Steve Carell is an amazing actor though. Ben, to be completely honest, I stopped watching LOST after the third season... I was just tired of Jack and Kate and all their BS, and I'm telling ya, Jack makes me feel nauseated because he is always such a anxiety-ridden guy... instead of chasing after Kate and illusive island creatures/strangers, the guy needs to invest some time in personal therapy. Maybe I should give LOST another chance, but if I do, I am going to have to spend my entire month's salary renting all of the seasons... and then I will have to watch ALL of them, and then Jack will drive me crazy and I will get an ulcer! And while I won't disagree with you on your characterization of people who formulate a negative opinion on LOST, I have to say, you hating the Office is not only blasphemous, but it is hypocritical... if you think people who hate LOST because of its popularity are lame, how much LAMER is it to hate the Office because it is popular and THEN accuse others of doing the same thing!!! (I am relishing in my own amazing intellect!!!) You know, Ben, I like you and all... but LOST is lame... and no matter how many nutty Polar Bears or Smoke Monsters its writers invoke, NOTHING WILL PREVENT LOST FROM HAVING AN ANTI-CLIMATIC ENDING... THERE IS NO WAY THAT LOST CAN LIVE UP TO THE PRESTIGE DEVELOPED OVER ENDLESS SEASONS... If they can pull it off, then I will take my hat off to them... but I am pretty sure that my hat will stay aloft my beautiful head, for LOST is going to crash and burn in a glorious fashion!

My only problem with The Office now is they are rehashing old storylines and old jokes and have been for quite some time now. Yes, we get it, Micheal is a jackass and oblivious to the world around him and he'll never learn....let's have some more character development. I still watch it every week but i'm just getting a little tired of it, i don't find myself laughing out loud like i used to anymore.
I've recently grown attached to How I Met Your Mother, now there is a show with some development and to me is funny as hell. It's the first sitcom since That 70's Show that I've genuinely loved and become obsessed about.

I watched the first season of lost and the first season of the office. Both were good. I had a 5 year stretch without television of any sorts so all the TV going on now has passed me by. People, lend me your boxsets.
