Not only that but what is he doing with a 47" 1080pi television while running the risk of being evicted for not paying his rent/mortgage? This whole thing seems questionable to me, my friend.

whoo for LOST! Loved tonight's episode. I guess technically last night by now. Also a fan of the Arrested Development as well.
I agree with Jonzey, I'd tell him to sell the TV, and pay the rent. I know they're nice, but I've made do without one so far.

#1 Lost was pretty good, well, really good.
#2 it's not weird someone would have such a TV and not be able to pay rent. Since this seems common these days.
#3 He did sell the tv, and he did pay his rent.
#4 I hate the fuckin tv, But it's better than watching him send it to the hockshop for the same amount of money. When I can hold it, use it, watch HD movies for fuck sake, and he can come claim it when he has cash. Materialistic goods seem to be basis for happiness these days to a majority of people. It's Very sad.
All very logical to me. Maybe I'm insane, and that's... well.... possible.

#1 & #3 were logical. #2 may be the current norm, but it's hardly logical. #4 was more of a personal rant than a statement of actual fact so logic is in the eye of the beholder on that one. All-in-all, 2 out of 4 ain't bad.

Well #1 would come to terms with #4 as a personal statement of logic no?
Because something is a current norm, the statement I made was logical because it was me perceiving the norm. Not living it. I disagree with it, but the thought of it is logical itself.
Logic isn't used only on factual information That's why you use logic to determine the best course of interest. So therefore, not only was #4 a rant. It was an opinionated logical rant.
So, as it goes, logic is based purely on personal experience.
Wow I didn't even want to talk about anything like this at all. Why would you score a test I wasn't even taking. Jesus wouldn't do that!!!!

You're right, Jesus probably wouldn't do that. BUT I SURE DID!!! Oh, and your score went from 50% to -12% for stating that logic is based purely on personal experience. That's hogwash. On a more important note, your dad didn't get evicted, right? That would be horrible if he did.

No, he's fine.
I won't argue that if you look at a textbook, I'm wrong.
If you ask me philosophically, everything we think we understand, everything we try to define. Is based on personal experience. Be it internal, or external.

LOST is an amazing action-drama. It's difficult to explain though. It started out as a show about a bunch of plane crash survivors on an island, but quickly evolved into something else entirely. Now it deals with time travel, God, faith, science, an invisible island, etc. It's really quite intense and, I feel, quite deep and symbolic on many levels.
