I was just thinkin about how much the Castanettes have improved in the last year. I'm not saying they were bad a year ago, but they are much more dialed in now. This goes for all aspects of their live show. Their sound is much more balanced. The bass used to be pretty narrow, with a lot of mid in it. It is much more deep and fits into the mix much better now. I really enjoy the sound of the keys. I guess that's what you get when you own a Fender Suitcase though.
The Castanettes all-around show is great. The only thing I would improve on from here, is song transition. Every band needs help with that though.
Do any of you have a local band that you think is the most improved?

It's hard to say because most bands I see are either already well established or suck ass and dissolve before they have a chance to get good (all of my bands have fallen into the second category so far).

Well thanks Ben, and I would have to say Battle school. They sucked when they didn't exist.

i didn't mean to kill this thread, but I do have to say that I see an awful lot of "ego" stroking going on between Hibsch and The Brothers and Chris. No offense or anything. Just saying.

I love Battleschool and I would rather try to remain positive than negative on this site. I stated something positive about a band that I like.

ego stroking does feel pretty good, though. I'd say that its definitely a positive.

I'd like to know your definition of ego stroking Reggie.
