For being as old as he is.. That Superbowl thing last year was the ish. Exactly my point! You have to have a reason for it. You can't just say "that was the ish" you have to preface it by saying "for being as old as he is". Granted, I think he made some good music a few decades ago - but the music scene has since changed while he has stayed the same. I have no problem with the guy coming out with new tunes, but you can't seriously tell me he keeps writing the best record/album of the year over and over. That's just silly.

Writing cool music that is the same for decades isn't hard. Getting on a stage and performing the way he does, that takes something! Regardless, live performances shouldn't warrant grammy's. So it's still ridiculous that he wins as much as he does.

While we're sort of on the topic - can anyone tell me how guys like Bruce Springsteen keep winning Grammys? It makes no sense to me. by doing BOSS shit. I picked up on your play with his nickname. I take it nobody else did. Hosers.

Has anyone heard his We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions album? That thing is off the charts.

Elliott Smith!? HA! Nice try Josh. I have to agree... WITH JONAS! Ha!!! Elliott Smith is a classic example of the "Kurt Cobain Phenomenon", where mediocre talent is idolized post-mortem.

So you haven't listened to him? You should try sometime. Great music. WAY better than Kurt Cobain.

He was great before he died (Elliot) in my opinion. But I also didn't like him for like 2 years. Then I listened to figure 8, and was hooked, and LUCKILY saw his last performance (so I have been told.) And anyone who can stab himself in the heart is pretty 'hardcore' if you ask me, maybe even 'emo' shunell.
