Regina, I'm sick of these threads. Do you see anything wrong with this? What are "these threads"? What threads do you prefer? A list of links? A bunch of people talking about getting together and never actually following through? A bitch session on the Utah Jazz (one of my personal favorites)? I didn't post this as an attack or an address of sexism. I just noticed something I thought was interesting, and I wanted to point out the fact that y'all, specifically you morty, take me way too seriously (and I think you take yourself too seriously too). Laugh if it makes you laugh and if it doesn't don't give me this kind of bull shit response because we all post dumb shit on here and I am trying to have a good time. Why do I keep having to say this? Ok, 1.) To be totally honest, my whole "I'm sick of this" comment was in response to the "Are you accusing us of chauvinism, ragina?" option on the poll, and I was being facetious. I only remember one or two other times where you brought up your opinions on all of this stuff, so I was saying that as a sarcastic asshole-joke. BUT 2.) I probably do take you too seriously and 3.) I for sure take myself too seriously. however 4.) There's NO QUESTION that you take me entirely too seriously with comments like "Laugh if it makes you laugh and if it doesn't don't give me this kind of bull shit response because we all post dumb shit on here and I am trying to have a good time. Why do I keep having to say this?" In a nutshell: we can't transmit tone via text, so lets try and not have our toes stepped on so much?

What part of my attitude bugs you? The fact that, by arguing against your points, which are strong and tend to be the opposite of most people's thoughts, even though I often agree with what you are saying, to make a case against you means that I'm crazy. Philosophy, nestled into psychology, tied up with a handy step-by-step self-improvement guide. Sounds pretty soft to me. I can dig this. I agree that the work life has been glorified unnecessarily, but women's essential role in the household has been severely diminished by modern advances. For example, I like quilting, but it is unnecessary for me to do, because for nearly the same price of materials I can go buy a quilt from the store, so even though I do it as a hobby, if it was party of my primary responsibilities, I would have to say that it would be pretty unfulfilling to me... and that's just one example of ways home living used to be fulfilling. But the point I was trying to make in that paragraph is that it really comes down to choices, and a prescription won't help, however intensely you believe it. And to have a society in which 75% of people are major income earners looks pretty efficient on paper, and everyone stresses unnecessarily about money, so rather than lambasting what you call "feminists" for removing mothers from the home, I think the debate should hinge around the materialism that keeps people stressing out about money and getting more of it... as opposed to the "crazy" women who would rather work in an office for an hour and BUY butter, as opposed to churning it. There's no fat or ugly people on tv either. Doesn't mean they don't exist.

This thread got way too serious and gay.
Ironically the thread called "Sense of humor" was the most boring/serious thread on this site.
Where are all the cheap jokes? Someone make a sexist joke, fast.

I think a person should be allowed to be what ever they choose as long as it does not impose on the rights of another individual. That being said if I could meet Maria Bamford or Sarah Silverman in person I'm sure I would attempt to start a relationship so many times that they either caved, slapped me enough to send my beard flying into next tuesday (when it inevitably grows back), or slap on something a little more concrete, say a restraining order.
I've met a few women that are drop dead hilarious in Logan though and unfortunately they seem to be out of my league, a lady with a sense of humor is usually being tracked by a few wolfy individuals that have the qualities I do not, or they are far to snarky to ever be tied down (snarkiness goes for men too so don't read to much into that statement). All I'm saying is I've met more funny guys by chance, but men seem to have horribly predictable humor where as the humor I've seen from many MANY women has seemed fresh, thoughtful, and biting. Women are FUNNY!

I saw someone with a "legalize" tatoo on their arm at the cruise-in. Buyer's remorse in the making.

I know some funny women, and it's awesome. Usually when it comes down to it, I joke around untill one of us can't decide if one of us is being serious or not. Then laugh some more!

When women are funny I imagine them making jokes about my genitalia, and in then end that's not fun for anyone.
