Yep, Glenn Beck has been called by God to reclaim and rebuild the US. "God is giving a plan I think to me that is not really a plan…The problem is that I think the plan that the Lord would have us follow is hard for people to understand…Because of my track record with you who have been here for a long time. Because of my track record with you, I beg of you to help me get this message out", "The plan that he would have me articulate, I think to you is get behind me, and I don’t mean me, I mean him. Get behind me. Stand behind me","what he is asking us to do is to stand peacefully, quietly with anger, quiet with anger, loudly with truth.” Now given his record of substance abuse, his attacks on all faiths that believe in social-justice (which his faith does and had to release statements that they did not by any means endorse Glenn Beck or his statements) and his self-described "rodeo-clown" anticts, it begs the question- "do people take him seriously?" Unfortunatly yes, people do. At my job people defend him to the piont of fist-fights. And that begs the bigger question- "what the fuck is wrong with the american people?" I'm just interested to see how everyone else wieghs in on this-

I didn't know people took him seriously. He's the low point of conservative talk radio, he's an idiot. But I think he's funny sometimes. His political views are nuts.

Great video. I think the problem with Glenn Beck is that people DON'T take him seriously. So, when he says really general things that many conservatives agree with ("The Obama health care program over-reaches the Fed's constitutional authority") and then backs it up with misinformation ("So here you have Barack Obama going in and spending the money on embryonic stem cell research. ... Eugenics."), they're like "Oh, Glenn. Only you would say such a thing." But then when that information gets repeated around them in more subtle ways, they forget where they originally heard it and then it becomes real information. I think it's kind of a dangerous modus operandi despite the fact that only the crazies take everything at face value. I think he's also done a really good job of branding himself. And I don't mean that as a compliment. I think this whole 9/12 thing is his marketing scheme. And while people don't take him seriously, they still agree with this project's mission—returning to compassion and the 9-principles and 12-values laid out by his website. How can you argue against that? If you do argue against it, you are arguing against America. And since Glenn Beck is such an advocate of American values, arguing with him means you are unpatriotic. Right?

You guys should live with my family then, and maybe its only them but Glenn is concidered a prophet to them! Because of his religious membership he has to be right! It's like Mitt all over agian... I really like the way you put Regina- makes sense to me.
However I believe that I AM patriotic because I argue against America. "the biggest threat to an individuals freedoms is the government itself" Benni Franklin. But what the hell do I know when it comes to religion and being patriotic? I'm pro-choice and believe in fully open boarders!
