We'd like to take this opportunity to personally thank all you indie ass holes who come into our store and have us open up 15 cd's for you to listen to, so you can decide whether or not you like it and want to go home and burn it from a friend or not.
as of july 1st, the Ahabs of music piracy have gotten their wish and Graywhale will be no more. Our beautiful little sea-shanty of a shack will be relocated to Bountiful, putting the 6 of us out of work.

ps, for those of you who were actually cool and not douche bags, our conversations spanning the hours of the day will be missed beyond all reckoning. thank you and goodnight

I'd also like to thank all of you who came into the store to buy music and support us. I truly appreciate it. It's sad that a town the size of Logan can't support a business like Graywhale. Sorry to all of you that use us and don't abuse us. I will not miss being yelled at for not having BuckCherry or Hinder, nor will I miss being taken advantage of to preview cd's. I will miss my friends I worked with and my friends I helped. I pretty much consider my co-workers family. I will mainly miss my job that I love. Thanks pussies, we had a good run.
And yes that was a soapbox.

Awww. Sad. I always enjoyed Graywhale. And I only took advantage of the fact that it was always airconditioned in the summer.... never took advantage of the preview cds

seriously, none of the other stores carry anything that you guys have. that sucks. and dan, you check loganscene, im pretty sure you wont miss any shows.
anyways, you graywhale guys, thanks alot for what you did do, i came in there alot, and i did preview cd's, but, only on the days, when i had enough money to buy one. how long have you guys been in business?

for the last 15 years or so. maybe a bit longer.
the cd preview actually wasn't a problem for the most part. it was the kids who would literally make us open up 8 cd's and then walk out and buy it somewhere else or burn it. our store just didn't get much support from the community
