I love Dresdon Dolls long time! Have yet to hear the new album however. (I'm a horrible person.)

Neutral Milk Hotel (His songs include visions he had of WWII in his sleep, its downright haunting) Belle and Sebastian (always makes me happy, no matter the mood) Mountain Goats (I think they are releasing a new album soon) Broken Social Scene (background music with intelligence) Silver Jews (Imagine Johnny Cash and Pavement having a love child) T Rex (classic and good baby making music) Tiger Lou (don't know if its available in the states but "is my head on" is an excellent import) Wilco (amazingly solid band, the heavens opened up on the bridge of "I'm the man who loves you") TV on the Radio (the song staring at the sun will change your life)

isn't this just another "Band reccomendations" thread? I hate these threads and somehow they manage to reach 10 pages in less than week. Guys gotta show off how many bands you know
