0-10 Everything from Allen Jackson (thanks mom) to AC/DC (thanks dad) 10-14 Classic rock and Big Hair Bands- Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd 14-21 Punk. It started lighter with bands like Woodly Bog and MxPx then went hard with The Casualties, The Unseen, Endless Struggle (SLC!!!), 7Seconds,
Pretty much anything political is good too (I hate all that romance crap) from Bob Dylan to System of a Down. Led Zeppelin still is the greatest band ever though!

0-13 Classic rock, my dad worked for a classic rock radio station, what can I say. I still like a lot of it.
13-15 I got way into 90's alt bands from my brother. Oasis, Bush, 3EB and the like.
16-17 I went through my pop-punk stage. Taking Back Sunday, Ataris, Anti-Flag, and more angsty shit like Thursday and whatnot.
17-20 I still like all that shit I listened to, but I started listening to some old country which is cool.

Jonas liked the monkee's and hated the beatles. This is true. I think it's because I had a hippie teacher who played the shittiest beatles songs she could find, obla de obla da, and yellow submarine are lame. And I used to watch the Monkees t.v. series constantly. I like the beatles now... eh. Number 9, number 9. And don't get me wrong, I still like the monkees and I won't deny it. ps - fuck led zepplin

My musical tastes haven't really "evolved" because I pretty much still listen to the same stuff I did when I was younger (no, unfortunately this doesn't include Raffi and Vanilla Ice).
1-5: I don't remember much. I liked Raffi and whatever my parent's were listening to; and I got really excited when Baloo would sing "The Bear Necessities" in the Jungle Book.
5-10: the formative years in which my mind was saturated with tunes from James Taylor, Simon and Garfunkel, The Carpenters, and Disney classics...
10-14: the Jazz Period: Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Django Rhinehart, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Paul Desmond, etc.
12-14: the "I need to define my personality by what I listen to" phase: I bought my first few "rock" CD's when I was twelve... and I didn't even like them much, but because everybody else thought that they were cool, I simply agreed with them. I did have some redeeming musical tastes, mostly "old-school" rock such as CCR, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Who, etc.
15-18: the "Paul Converted Me" phase and the "Ska and Reggae" period: I met this kid in 9th grade named Paul Cox who tried to convince me that there was this style of music called "Punk," and that it was good. I listened to my first punk rock tune that year and I was convinced that 1) the stuff was from Lucifer himself, and 2) that "Punk Rock" wasn't real music... well, Paul somehow got me to go to a show at the Smithfield City Youth Center that year, and I gradually found myself being absorbed into this Punk Rock stuff that came from Satan and wasn't real music... Paul also introduced me to Ska, and afterwards, Steve and I were hooked. We started to get really into Two-Tone, "Third Wave," the Toasters, and not soon afterwards, old-school Reggae (Desmond Dekker, Toots and the Maytals, Prince Buster, etc.)... we had a lot of fun back then, and I still listened to punk rock, but mostly the old stuff that was good: The Clash, the Ramones, Social Distortion, etc. Joe Strummer had some sweet stuff just before he died (Joe Strummer and the Mesc.)... Yeah, and I also had my little spin-offs: Lounge Music, Jazz, Jazz, and more Jazz... Bossa Nova...oh, and Coldplay and the Shins, too.
19-21: the Missionary Phase: EFY and MoTab! Yeah!
21+: The Returned Missionary Marc: Brazilian Music (Bossa Nova, Rock, Reggae, Samba, Axé, Forró, etc.)... lots of other stuff, too. Good Brazzie Musicians: Seu Jorge, Gilberto Gil, João Gilberto, Renato Russo, Skank, Raça Negra, Cidade Negra, Revelação, etc.
But hey, if you actually took the time to read this, I would like to give you a "cyber-hug" for your patience.

I read it buddy. Hey... and we need to go climbing or get some lunch some time soon.
My musical evolution:
6-14: I liked musical music that my parents showed me. Pretty much anything by Andrew Lloyd Webber was good in my book. I also bought my first rock albums during this time which included Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Blink 182, Greenday, The Offspring. And I can't think of too much else. Oh yeah, of course like any good LDS boy, I liked Classical music.
14-15: I started to listen to... yes... it's terrible "rap music". Fortunately it didn't last long... I kept all the old tunes as well.
15-17: I discovered two things here. The Beatles, and Punk music... three actually... classic rock. The former is really good, the latter... well... yeah. Anyway, I began listening to bands like Pink Floyd, Anti-Flag, Bouncing Souls, Sum 41, Alkaline Trio (still a great band), Open Hand, Thrice, The Used, Bad Religion, and some other punk bands. Not that all of the bands I mentioned were punk bands... but I digress.
18-20: I realized that punk music isn't the best music in the world and moved onto an even less fun music. Emo/Hardcore. I listened to lots of Thrice, Dashboard Confessional, Avenged Sevenfold, From Autumn To Ashes, and some other bands I don't remeber too much.
21-present: I listen to everything from rock to pop, and from classical to hip hop, ambient music, celtic music, synth pop, 80's tunes, you name it: there's a chance I'd listen to it. Major bands of today are (in no order): The Beatles, Muse, Mars Volta, Mogwai, Sigur Ros, Alkaline Trio, Bloc Part, Deftones, Elliott Smith, Eliot, Smashing Pumpkins, Angels and Airwaves, Radiohead, U2, The Vines, Explosions in the Sky, and many, many others. So yeah.

the earliest i remember-6: barney, shit on the radio...
6-10: britney spears and the fuckin spice girls.. oh man and the backstreet boys and nsync! wow and some celine dion, whitney houston, brandy, leann rimes, and tony braxton when i was 7 or so...those were some weird times
10-12: rap and hip-hop were everything to me. ludacris, chingy, 50, M&M, etc. i loved dancing to crazy beats and stuff.
12-15: i started getting into rock and a little bit of pop. i listened to the radio and just decided who i liked. i still liked hip hop and stuff like missy elliott and ciara but it started to fade on me. (i think logans hip hop scene is pretty damn good)
15-present: i got into everything. just everything rock. i started listening to acoustic, some metal, alternative rock, techno, experimental, hardcore, screamo, etc. i listen to a lot of bands now on a daily basis. my favorites have changed over the year. my favorites for now are: Brand New, Academy Is.., Anti-Flag, 30 Seconds To Mars, Chiodos, Dashboard, From First To Last, Gym Class Heroes, MCR, Panic, Plain White T's, Saosin, Saves The Day, SYSTEM OF A DOWN, Taking Back Sunday, Thursday, VANNA, The Blood Brothers, The Early November, Postal Service, and The Used.
i was into the local logan scene from when i was 13-16, but it's gotten to be the same old show lately. i support new bands coming in, theres just a lack of excitement for me.
i think erratic erotica, conscious honesty, austin heller, in vein, chucks, and the shakedown syndicate are my all-time favorites.
my favorites change everyday
