There's that "authenticity" thing I was talking about. Anywho, I can pick up what you're putting down. I just think that WAY too many musicians take the analog sound too the point that their music becomes almost unlistenable. Even worse is when they use digital technology to get an analog sound. That just makes me cringe.

I don't see why you mock authenticity. I can see mocking mock authenticity, but if a thing is really authentic, what's the problem? I'm not talking about the bull shit stuff that goes into getting a "raw" sound, but I disagree with the idea of squeaky clean music. Probably a lot of personal preference goes into forming this opinion, but I don't see why you jab "authenticity" at me like it's a dirty word. Or like I'm somehow less "authentic" for preferring "unclean" music.
The Recovering Alcoholics recorded all of our partial album via 8 track analog (two channels were broken, so it was more like a 6 track). We even went so far as to use a Lecternet to get the vocal sound. Personally I think it sounds way more bad ass than it would have if F. Thomas had sung right into a M57 or whatever the hell microphone he was using. But I guess we have struggled with authenticity almost as much as we have struggled with canadian whiskey.

MM, Nintendo wii is basically the exact implementation of what made "Duck Hunt" great into EVERY game. But better.
Isn't it kind of funny that after going through several nintendo systems they just went back to their first idea and years after the wii's release it's still difficult to purchase one at Walmart the day of shipment?

Just look at your band in comparison to my band. I'm sure we have HUGE differences when it comes to musical preferences (not dissing your band, I actually think you guys are really fun!). Oh, and I didn't mean to use "authenticity" as a jab. Sorry if I came off as cockesque.

the wii was fucking great when it first came out but the lack of decent games and nintendo dropping the bomb now it's a pretty shitty system. I haven't even turned mine on for at least 6 months and i waited in line for 6 hours just to PRE-ORDER one. My PS3 and Xbox kick the shit out the wii now. Also we have like 15 that have been sitting on the shelves at Best Buy for about 4 weeks now.

Having a light gun is too rad. But yeah, being an adult who likes adult oriented games the wii isn't my demographic. Xbox 360's are cheaper than Wii's now. I think I'm going to get one. |

no, PC owns for shooters and always will.  I don't mind bubbly kiddy games, that's not a problem. It's just that most of the games pretty much suck, they have barely released any games with some actual depth. The 3rd party support sucks when everyone thought it was gonna be great. |

I probably spend an average of 10 hours a week just on Super Smash Brothers.
Basically the only reason I got the wii. And I am one satisfied motherfucker.
PS If any of you n3wbiez wanna super smash against me and maybe bet a few dollars I'd be glad to make myself a lil richer.
