Well, I read... most of this I think. And I Decited this.
For all things there is really cool old shit, and really cool new shit.
New things come and old things go. But it's always changing, to see the change is happy yet sad at the same time for me. Cause I see cool old things go away, and new shitty things come, I see old things I hate disappear, and new things I love come along.
Trends play apart, Thought they are still never quite like they were.
Usually what I see is new and old is merely signs of the time.
I've learned from both old people and new borns
There is more old music I like. But there is actually a lot of new music I've been able to really enjoy for different reasons then I like the old music. ALL MUSIC to me.... ALL of it is inspired by someone before, inspired by the old to create a new.
Old movies have certain tastes about them. But even *older* than movies, plays. What about those? there are still good plays out there.
New movies are great for visual aspects and being able to get people to SEE what the artist really wants you to see.
Video games, Pfft... old isn't duck hunt. Old is PONG.... And even though this was 10 years before I was a twinkle in my moms eye. I'm sure the people who were playing this game at the time were having just as much fun playing that game, as they were the new ones. (maybe not on the same timescale 10+ hours a day etc.)
But once again, the movement in new technology has made it possible to be very intricate with visual effects, sound effects, story line etc.
But for me, New video games just arn't that cool. I like 2-D.
Clothes, The way I see it. Cheap shit is cheap shit.
I don't really think old clothes are necessarily longer lasting than new ones. I just think the availability of cheap clothes has become huge You can still buy thick, sturdy, comfortable clothes. But it comes with a price. Everyone is trying to be skimpy on the materials to save cost these days right? (And even then, expensive doesn't mean long-lasting)
Again the availability of cheap food is higher then healthy food. Not that it's old or new.
I think Food is an art form and it like all other art is ever evolving based on old recipes, with new people and experiences, and mixes of the cultures.
I save food till just before it goes b ad and can usually make it taste ok. I like cold pizza sometimes
Towns, when I think old towns I think Europe, Asia. And I like the style of old buildings, and structures a lot more. But again, there are some really fucking cool new buildings from new-age architects that are just fuckin amazing.
For Logan you could do a new/old Logan.
Old logan we'll say 1970's Was a party town, I keep getting told from different sources that Logan was Rated party town some year in the 70s in Playboy magazine. Post 1970s. All the bars left laws were passed and now we live in the... mediocrity you see today.
Presidents So far I'm unhappy with new and old. excluding JFK.
Dance styles, another art form. constantly changing and moving. I like most of it.
Economy post 1913 ROCKED, New economy based on borrowing from a privately owned bank = terrible. All leads to jobs or no jobs.
And after a week of being on the Oregon coast were everything is new to me. Nothing has changed in Logan city. I guess we got a huge snowstorm. But I think there was just about as much snow when I left.
And after writing all this mind spew. I enjoy, embrace, and encourage change.
But it would all change without my encouragement anyway so
And Wow there are more useless posts than ever on this board. Seriously. Or was I just not paying attention before?
