MM, you're obviously going to stir some emotions when you come onto a Web site and discuss how you think religion is useless and messed up with people of faith. You have no need to apologize for what you say. If you mean it and are open about it, you shouldn't feel like you have to apologize.
There is nothing wrong with having a light in your life. You're a very sad person if you think you are perfect. Not you, just in general. I know few people who say they are of such. Everyone has skeletons in a closet somewhere, it's a fact of life. Religion is a compass. Many people need that in their life for guidance, comfort and assurance. You may not believe in God, and I respect that, but you really should rethink your tact when explaining your atheism.
Mormons use Christ as an example for good. They are taught that they are able to be made clean through the blood of Jesus Christ, if they wish to follow the gospel's teachings. They are never told that have to be like just like Christ, because just like Jonzey stated, faith, repentance and baptism, to name a few, are all taught to bring people closer to God. Christ is the supreme example.
I don't claim to be perfect. I mean, I'm obviously not. Look through my posts and you'll see that I am far from a saint. I grew up LDS and have had a lot of struggles and questions. I decided I would pray, read and study the Bible and Book of Mormon. There I found the answer that was best for me.
Sorry to make this all a personal issue.

It was just something nitpicky about using the term "Mormon" or "Mormonism" in reference. It's a much broader term than I think most people who live next to any dominant expression of it normally have. THE LOGANSCENE EDUCATES YOU.

oh slugger slugger slugger again you think you know everything and your way or the high way. if you really read my post you would see i am agnostic and i am not sure of what i believe in when it come to religion. Honestly I would rather be constantly searching then be set in one way not willing to expand my views. again this is my personal views and i mean this in its not so much that i care if i offend anyone, as i think everyone has there own truth. so what is right for you may not be right for me.

I love religion because it always brings up the best arguments. No one is right. You are all so very wrong. lets fight about it.

God this is all too heavy. Where are the jokes???
I come to this site to watch people make fun of each other. Go blog on LDS.org if you guys wanna talk about your feelings and shit.
I've just barely learned way more about the church than I ever wanted to from reading the last page of posts.
This is why I avoid going to church. To avoid feeling the holy spirit and to avoid learning about the church/religion/listening to these types of conversations.
I come to my place of religion-free-solitude and you guys are gonna ear fuck me with Mormon facts?
Not cool.

Actually I've always wanted to corrupt a seemingly heterosexual Mormon male via my ear canal.

Use your throw-up as lubricant.

Cool. Use your throw-up as lubricant. To quote Jonas: End this now, it's not going anywhere you want to be. It's certainly not going anywhere I want to be.

Pleasure town?
...I suppose the current "hip" metaphor would be Grandma's House.
