They were arrested because of what? The video didn't show what was happening before they were arrested... and as for the take down, when someone resists in any way, the officer has the right to take him down.

I still don't think that it was that tragic.

they were arrested without a reason except resisting arrest. it was a bullshit occurence and the police used force without cause, when a kid is sitting in a skate park and he hasnt comitted any crime there is no reason to arrest him, his refusing to put his hands behind his back was reasonable, getting choked to the ground was not.

As for the subject on searchs! they laws of search and seizures is very strict for an officer! much different than just a citizen! I haven't studied up on the issue for quite some time! but i believe if an officer asks to search you. you can say no! If they suspect you have a weapon they still have to ask! If you keep reaching in you pocket or if they officer feels a presence of threat that nulls the right to say no and he can search you but not enter the pockets just a normal pat down! if he feels a pipe in your pocket! that gives him reasonable doubt or whatever to search. if you still say no he can get a search warrant with the click of his cell phone! if you run in with a cop best thing to do is keep ur hands outta your pockets! definatley don't clench your fist or do anything to make them feel uncomfortable and they will probably be decent to you!
Officers have two lifes! Work and when they are not at work! They are people too! they have all made mistakes! They have all sped or broke some law!
Back to the quota thing real quick! there is one town in cache valley that your more likely to get a speeding ticket in! Because the town has been complaining to their force that the officers haven't been catching people speeding in there town! i'll leave that one for you to guess! have a good one!

the only reason i "broadcast" as you put it, is that its the only thing i have to be proud of. and the only reason i brought it up is that its considered "gang-related" in the state of utah, as a matter of fact its considered the most dangerous gang in utah, id disagree, but thats what the record books say. the fact that i can advertise it so openly and walk down the street without anyone turning their head gives me the right to say that the "police situation" is actually pretty pathetic.

I'd agree that straight-edge is the most dangerous around these parts-
1. We don't have any East-coast gangs, the only ones we have are a buch of unorganised red-necks like the bloods and crips
2. Most gangs are territorial, you can avoid them if you want. sXe goes everywhere
3. Most gangs have standards that they follow, sXe doesn't. They'll smoke a joint then beat the shit out of someone for doin the same.
4. Kids think its cool cause... I don't know why, really- help me barrett on that. Why is it cool?

i would honestly have to disagree with a large part of what youve said there. i will concede that sxe might be the most dangerous social group in the greater salt lake area, however i never met another sxe kid living in cache valley, there were some that came up from provo for school, but other than me none that lived there, at least none that were open about it. the reason sxe isnt territorial is because its not a gang, a few violent individuals acting of there own accord brought the title of gang to the rest of us, ive never acted in violence towards any one based on whether or not they smoked drank or did drugs, my wife smokes and drinks and up until we started dating she did drugs, its your choice if you want to rely on chemicals for self satisfaction. furthermore, sxe kids dont smoke weed and then start fights, if someone does that and claims to be edge then there jack ass idiots trying to find an excuse to channel there bull shit into violence. go listen to the song xinterventionx by the band end begins, it explains the state of straight edge today from the perspective of someone whos been there since its start. Myc, the singer, is the founder of x24x, the largest straight edge "crew" in the us today, i say crew not gang because its not a gang, there are no violent acts committed by 24, there are no illegal activities committed by 24, they promote the straight edge lifestyle in the most positive and fair way. in fact, if you look into it, the members of 24 were the first to publicly denounce the violent actions taken by people claiming to be straight edge. other than people who are straight edge i havent met anyone who thinks its cool, the only reason i can give that i am straight edge is that it means something to me, and what better reason can you have to cling to something than what it means to you. ive made sacrifices in the name of remaining straight edge, i very well might be losing my wife because i wont drink and smoke with her, im shunned by most kids in the las vegas area because there isnt a large sxe scene here, theres a decent hardcore scene but not many edge kids, and the few that there are have seen so many kids come and go that im not welcome in there circle because they dont trust many people. i know paul has sacrificed because he went to the phillipines for two years, but as for the rest of you, who the fuck are you to judge my decision to not lean on chemicals for my mental well being. what the fuck have you sacrificed?
